7. TSO
Research Agreement
On February 22, 2013, the Company and Freie Universität Berlin (“FU Berlin”) entered into a Research Agreement (the “Research Agreement”) to, among other things, identify and evaluate secretory proteins from TSO (the “Project”). The duration of the Project was expected to be four years, during which the Company would have paid FU Berlin a total maximum amount of approximately €648,000, or approximately $843,000 in research fees and FU Berlin would have periodically produced written progress reports on the Project. On March 25, 2014, the Company terminated the Research Agreement effective June 30, 2014. In connection with this termination, the Company incurred a one-time termination fee of $167,000, comprised primarily of unpaid research fees, which is included in research and development expenses during the six month period ended June 30, 2014. |
